Description
WELCOME SCOUTS
This event will help you fulfill requirements needed to earn badges for both the Boy and Girl Scouts. You'll also learn about different types of animals, pet welfare and care. There will also be other great activities which include Police K9 demonstrations, a reptile house exhibit, a petting zoo, and pet adoptions.
BoyScouts – you will have the opportunity to earn your Veterinary Merit Badge by fulfilling requirements #’s 1 – 6. After you have fulfilled all of the requirements, you are to have your Blue Card signed by an onsite counselor. There are no pre-requisites you need to do before the event; you do not need to bring your workbooks.
You Must Bring Your Blue Card With You – they will not be provided
Girl Scouts – you have the opportunity to earn the following badges:
- Brownies “Pets” Badge
- Juniors “Animal Habits” Badge
- Seniors “Voice for Animals” Badge
- Cadettes “Animal Helpers” Badge
After you have completed all of your requirements, your troop leader and/or parent will be able to purchase your badge will be sold onsite for $3.00.
Scouts from every level are welcome to attend
Food Trucks will be on site for you to purchase lunch or you are welcome to bring your own lunch. We recommend you bring cash, but we also accept Visa and Master Card.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No, everyone is welcome and can participate in all activities.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking will be available around the event area, map can be located on our website: http://www.westernu.edu/veterinary/
What can I bring into the event?
If you chose not to purchase lunch at the event, feel free to bring your own. Scouts are welcome to wear their uniforms but are not obligated to. Boy Scouts must bring their blue cards to be signed off.

What's the refund policy?
This is a free event but if you purchase a fun pack and change your mind, just let us know and we will refund your account.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you do not need to bring the printed ticket with you.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration does not match the person who attends?
You do not need to bring a ticket to the event.
